Brittany Chadwick of Cherrytown, center, approached the commencement stage and her turn to accept a diploma from Juniata College during Juniata’s 144th commencement ceremony May 14. Chadwick, who graduated summa cum laude, an honor reserved for students with a grade point average between 3.9-4.0, earned a bachelor of arts in preK-4th grade education.

Juniata College graduates like Peter Kruse of Huntingdon received official alumni gear at the conclusion of the May 14 ceremony. Kruse graduated summa cum laude and earned a bachelor of science in economics with a secondary emphasis in math, German and data science.
A handful of umbrellas popped up during the May 14 commencement at Juniata College. Few drops fell, however, and the entire ceremony was held outside without interruption on the lawn in front of the Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts.
Although skies threatened rain for the duration of the May 14 commencement program, no cloud could diminish the radiant smile nor regalia worn by Rebecka Mason of Harrison, Ohio, as she accepted a bachelor of arts degree from Juniata College. Mason earned her degree in art history and museum studies.
Juniata College’s Class of 2022 transitioned from students to alumni with the turning of tassels at the conclusion of the college’s 144th commencement ceremony May 14.
Both donning mortar boards, Yitzchak Zirkle of Winchester, Virginia, and canine friend await their turn to cross the commencement stage at Juniata College the morning of May 14. Zirkle earned a bachelor of arts in written communication with a secondary emphasis in integrated media arts.

Doing her part to help release Juniata College’s newest graduates into the wider world, a renowned molecular geneticist and fellow Juniatian navigated the Class of 2022 through a lesson on knowledge, flexibility and personal strength during the college’s 144th commencement ceremony May 14.
Juniata conferred bachelor’s and master’s degrees upon students at an outdoor ceremony on the lawn fronting the Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts in the heart of the Huntingdon campus. Over two dozen graduates are c*nty residents.
