I have grown up in this community my entire life. So seeing other teachers that share the same experiences as me makes me feel more seen. It is a small school, which means more 1 on 1 help. The staff and faculty are amazing at seeing students who need help, then pointing them in the right direction to get that help. The few issues I have had in high school, whether it be bullying or the increased drug use of other students within school walls, have been dealt with or are being dealt with accordingly. The way admin lets students speak out against policies they might not agree on, then trying to accommodate to help students grow and succeed sets us up for real world issues where we might have to do the same.

The teachers really understand what we go through living out here on the reservation, and can really understand when someone is going through a hard time.
