Picking up your order

After placing your pickup order, we send it to the local seller to review and accept your order. Check the in-app statuses for confirmation that the seller has accepted your order, and that they have started preparing it.

The order status screen will provide an estimate for when your order will be ready and when you should aim to arrive at the store.

Delivery of your order

We partner with third-party drivers to bring your order right to your door. At checkout you can select whether you want your order left at your door, or whether you want to sign for your order.

If you select that you’d like to sign for your order, please ensure you are available during your selected delivery window. Otherwise your order may be returned to the store and you may incur a charge.

The in-app order statuses will let you know when the local seller has confirmed and begun preparing your order, when a driver is on the way, when your driver is nearby and when your driver has dropped off your order.

What is a Spark Driver?

We partner with third-party drivers to bring your order right to your door. Deliveries for Walmart Local Marketplace are fulfilled by drivers on the Spark Driver platform.

To help maintain a positive experience for sellers, drivers, and customers, and ensure orders are delivered correctly, the Spark Driver platform outlines Service Level Standards that cover professionalism, reliability, and safety.

The Spark Driver platform also provides drivers visibility into four key metrics to help with meeting the Service Level Standards: On-Time Arrival, Drop Order Rate, Acceptance Rate and Customer Rating. For more information visit Spark Driver Service Level Standards Metrics.

Cancel my order

You can cancel your order in-app before a local seller has confirmed and started preparing your order.

1. On the Order Status page, select View details.

What’s the status of my order?

We do our best to get your order to you on time. Sometimes delays happen. For the latest on your order, please check the Order Status screen in-app.

The in-app order statuses will let you know when the local seller has confirmed and begun preparing your order, when a driver is on the way, when your driver is nearby, and when your driver has dropped off your order.

If you don’t have your order after your delivery window has passed, contact us at 877-471-0027. Please have your order ID ready. You can find this in the Order Details screen in-app.

Change my order

We currently do not support changes to an order after it has been confirmed by the seller. If you need to change an order, you can cancel your order in-app before it has been confirmed by the seller and place a new one.

If you would like to cancel your order after a seller has confirmed your order, contact us at 877-471-0027. Note that you may still incur a charge.

Missing, incorrect, or damaged items

If you have any issues with missing, incorrect, or damaged items please let us know as soon as possible by contacting Local Marketplace Help.

Please provide details including:

  • Order ID
  • Description of which items were impacted
  • Description of the issue
  • Photo evidence of damage (if relevant)

We review issues on a case by case basis and aim to provide a fair outcome to all parties.

My order never arrived

We do our best to get your order to you safely and on time. Sometimes things don’t go according to plan. If the in-app order status says your order has been delivered, but you have not received it:

  • Look around the delivery location
  • Ask your household and neighbors
  • Wait 10-15 mins to see if it arrives, it’s rare but sometimes a driver may accidentally mark a package as delivered before they get to your door.

If you’re still unable to find your order, contact us at Local Marketplace Help. Please provide your Order ID and delivery address.

We review issues on a case by case basis and aim to provide a fair outcome to all parties.

Promotions

If you’ve received a valid Walmart Local Marketplace promo code which you are eligible to use, you can apply the promo code at checkout. The discount will be automatically applied to your order.

Unexpected charges

If you see an unexpected charge on your credit or debit card, it may be an authorization hold. Authorization holds or pending charges help us verify available funds on your payment method before completing your order. Once your order is completed, the pending charge will update to an actual charge.

For orders that are canceled and fully refunded, the authorization hold will disappear from your bank statement. Note that this may take up to 7 business days, depending on your financial institution.

What’s the status of my refund?

If you recently contacted support and received a refund, please note that it may take up to 10 business days for the transaction to be processed.

If after 10 business days you still do not see the refund reflected in your bank statement, please contact us at Local Marketplace Help.

To add a payment method to your Walmart account:

  1. Return to Walmart.com or the Walmart app home
  2. Select Account
  3. Select Wallet
  4. Select Add new payment method and follow the prompts

To edit a payment method to your Walmart account:

  1. ReturntoWalmart.comor the Walmart app home
  2. Select Account
  3. Select Wallet
  4. Select Edit next to the payment method to change

Ordering Online
Is alcohol more expensive or marked up on Walmart Local Marketplace?

Walmart Local Marketplace does not mark up the price of any products since it is not the seller of the products.

There are times that a seller will be running in-stock sales that may not be reflected on the platform. Sellers are solely responsible for the price of their inventory on Walmart Local Marketplace.

Why isn't delivery available where I live?

Walmart Local Marketplace and our third-party delivery services can only deliver within a certain radius of the seller store and where it is legally permitted. We are working to expand as quickly as possible. We are currently live in Dallas, Tampa, Bentonville, Rogers and San Antonio.

Can you leave the package at my door or with my doorman if I’m not home?

Due to legal and compliance reasons alcohol deliveries cannot be unattended. All alcohol orders require customer age verification and an intoxication check to ensure adherence with state and local laws. Deliveries can only be accepted by a person who is 21 years or older.

Is delivery contactless?

When the driver drops the order, they will be required to scan or inspect your ID, but they do not need to touch or handle the ID.

Why can't I use any Promo Codes on Alcohol orders?

Currently we do not provide promo codes for orders containing Alcohol.

Who will be delivering my order?

Walmart Local Marketplace uses a combination of the Spark DriverTM Platform and other 3rd party delivery services. In some locations, the seller of the alcohol will provide delivery services. For more information on the Spark DriverTM Platform see the followingsee the following link.

I am sending a gift order to someone else; can they receive my delivery order?

Be sure to enter the recipient's first and last name, delivery address, phone number, and any special instructions to ensure the delivery can be completed. Confirm with the recipient that they will be available to receive the delivery before submission. By law, the recipient for the delivery should be over 21 to accept the delivery order.

How do I contact the store delivering my order?

Please call the seller of the products. You can access your order details on the web app to find your seller details including their address and phone number. If you cannot locate that, please contact customer support at 877-471-0027.

My driver did not show up during the scheduled delivery window, what do I do?

Please reach out to customer support at 877-471-0027.

I have still not received some/all my items post the estimated delivery date/time, what do I do?

We know that even at Walmart, we're not perfect. If you find something amiss with your order upon delivery, please reach out to customer support at 877-471-0027 for assistance.

Just keep in mind, if something's not quite right with your delivery you must tell us within 2 days of estimated delivery so we can sort it out.

I received damaged or incorrect items, what do I do?

How long do deliveries take and are delivery times guaranteed?

Walmart Local Marketplace will try to ensure that the delivery is completed in the given timeframe, though in some circ*mstances deliveries may be delayed.

My order is running late - What's next?

Please reach out to customer support at 877-471-0027 for assistance. We will be able to provide you with an exact update on your order.

*Please note: You may receive texts or calls from unknown numbers during delivery. To make sure the drivers can get in touch, please make sure to set your phone call settings to "Allow Unknown Numbers" to call; otherwise, the driver may have to return the order to the store if they can't contact you.

Returns FAQ

Take the unopened and undamaged product(s) back to the store you ordered from with the online invoice and payment method used to request a refund or replacement. Please note that refunds and returns/replacements are at the sole discretion of the Seller.

What if I am not home when my delivery driver arrives?

If you are unable to be present at the time of the delivery the driver will attempt to reach out to you via phone calls and wait for 5 mins, if the driver does not hear back, they will return the order back to the store and it will be cancelled . You will not be charged any fees for cancelled orders.

I met with the driver, but they refused to deliver my order.

Due to legal and compliance reasons alcohol deliveries can only be delivered if:

  • You are present to receive your order
  • Your age is verified with an appropriate ID
  • Your age is 21 years or older
  • You are not intoxicated

If these requirements are not met, the driver cannot deliver the alcohol. So, they will return the order back to the store and it will be cancelled. You will not be charged any fees for cancelled orders.

What is the minimum amount to qualify for delivery?

The minimum amount to qualify for free delivery varies by store. The minimum order amount for your store can be viewed in your cart after you've selected delivery as the order method.

Please note that minimum basket sizes are set directly by the seller and can vary per seller and are subject to change at the seller's discretion.

How much does delivery cost?

This delivery cost varies by state. Please see the Seller Main Page or make sure to review the detailed cost breakdown in the Review Order page.

How does tipping work and who receives the tips?

Walmart Local Marketplace never keeps any portion of any tips.
