3. Bring in a Christmas Tree

Nothing says Christmas like a tree in the kitchen!

I added a Christmas tree in here for the first time ever (there was a wall there this time last year) and it’s so nice having the twinkle of lights in here in the evening. If you have a smaller kitchen, a mini tree is a great idea as well! Just add some fairy lights and mini ornaments.

Add simple, uncluttered additions like a vase of magnolia branches, or a little plant (real or faux) next to the sink or stove. Fresh greenery is a great way to add Christmas spirit and bring in more natural elements.

Even before my kitchen was redone, I used plants and flowers as simple Christmas decor in the kitchen to liven things up.

6. Christmas Lights

Christmas lights are a great way to add some Christmas cheer to your kitchen. When choosing your lights, consider the size of your kitchen and the type of lighting you already have.

If your kitchen is small, try to add some small string lights or battery-operated fairy lights to avoid overwhelming the space.

If you already have bright overhead lighting, I love the idea of using warm white lights for a cozy feel. Adding them to a small Christmas tree or down the runner of your dining table, you can add some warm finishing touches to your kitchen.

7. Place Settings

The final touch for your Christmas kitchen table is the place settings. You can use festive plates, cups, and silverware to create a cohesive look or you can jazz up your everyday dishes.

A few small touches go a long way when creating a festive home. The holiday spirit should be in every room, especially at the place you gather to eat with your family during the season.
